- Plan and develop varied, balanced and needs-based menus
- Calculate food and menu costs, plan budgets and monitor expenses
- Ensure compliance with all applicable hygiene, food safety and occupational health and safety regulations
- Apply the principles of healthy nutrition and take into account special dietary requirements and food allergies
- Ensure high standards of food quality and customer service, as well as a friendly and respectful approach towards guests
- Provide professional and organizational supervision of up to two part-time employees

- Completed vocational training as a chef
- Several years of relevant professional experience in gastronomy or catering
- Experience in organizing and managing a canteen or a comparable catering facility, preferably in a corporate or institutional environment
- Basic business and commercial knowledge, particularly in cost calculation, budget planning and cost control
- Knowledge of applicable hygiene and food safety regulations
- Understanding of healthy nutrition and experience in dealing with food allergies and intolerances
- Leadership skills and the ability to work independently and in a structured manner
- Strong organizational skills, a sense of responsibility and the ability to work in a team
- Customer-oriented mindset and excellent communication skills
